How the tool works, and what happens to your data.
Upload a CSV export from your bank, check the category suggested for each merchant, then generate your report. You get a chart of your spending by month or by week, plus a breakdown table showing the total, monthly average, share of spend and number of transactions for every category.
No. Your file is read and processed entirely in your browser, and your transactions are never sent to a server. Your category mappings are stored in your own browser so the tool can remember them next time.
It works with CSV exports from ANZ, CBA, NAB, Westpac and many other banks. If the tool can't detect the columns in your file automatically, you can tell it which columns hold the date, description and amount.
No. Common merchants such as Woolworths, Coles and Aldi are matched to a category automatically, and you can change any suggestion. Your choices are saved in your browser and remembered across sessions, unless you clear your browser data or use a private window. You can also download your mappings as a file and import them on another device.
Yes. You can add custom categories alongside the built-in ones such as Groceries, Utilities and Insurance, and you can skip a merchant so it is excluded from the report altogether.
Yes. You can download the breakdown as a CSV, or print it and save it as a PDF with the chart and category table included.
